17 Foot Salt Water Crocodile Caught in Tom’s River, NJ.

Caught alive, Sunday morning at approximately 11:00AM, a 17 foot salt water crocodile was restrained by the Tom’s River Police Department, the Marine Stranding Center of Ocean County, and the United States Coast Guard. Frantic calls from people heading to the beach to the Tom’s River Police Department prompted a mutual aid call to neighboring communities.

The 2,572-pound salt water crocodile, Toms River Police nicknamed Crocky Balboa, is suspected of attacking several people and biting the legs off a cocker spaniel named Lucky.
