17ft Salt Water Crocodile Caught off of Coast in Island Beach State Park NJ

Caught alive, Sunday morning at approximately 11:00AM, a 17 foot salt water crocodile was restrained by the Berkeley Township Police Department, Seaside Park Police Department, the Marine Stranding Center of Ocean County, and the United States Coast Guard. Frantic calls were made to the Berkeley Township Police Department from people heading to Island Beach State Park prompted mutual aid calls to neighboring communities to help control the situation.

The 1658-pound salt water crocodile, nicknamed Crocky Balboa, is suspected of attacking several people and biting the legs off a Great Dane named Lucky in surrounding areas!
