Shocking – Behringer making Numan clone !

In a shocking turn of events, it seems Behringer, renown creator of low cost clones of vintage high quality synthesizers, are working together with DYNOGEN CORP to create low cost “synthesiser legend” clones.

The Barry Numan will feature blond hair, and a monotone growl similar to the original, but will also be enhanced with some funky dance moves that will make performances a little less sinister for the young ladies.

The prototype is very realistic as the photograph shows, but Behringer are suggesting that with a few tweaks and a good demo, that it will be hard to tell the difference. “The internal plumbing is exactly that of a 1980s Numan Model G, and we expect the results will be authentic Numan”

Gary Numan has declined to comment, citing a contract clause, but was overheard in the pub asking “That Dolly thing worked right ?” to close friend, Trent Reznore, over a brown ale and lamb shank.

Trent, known as ‘9inch’ to his mates, while a keen fan of Depeche Mode also helped create the soundtrack for the 196 video game Quake, scaring generations of young children who had older brothers, and has more recently been seen smoking outside the DYNO office front doors with a few chaps in lab coats.

The information was discovered in a set of leaked emails purportedly from the DYNOGEN CORP genetic research company in Kiev. Russian authorities reported that they had nothing to do with the leak, but that they would welcome any low cost celebrity clones to Russia to perform, as it would be ‘gveat to not haf so many veird riders with se gigs’.

Last week, Kraftwerk dismissed the rumor that they had already been cloned back in 1968, and flatly denied that ‘hiding in the studio all the time was really just them recharging’.

We look forward to Barry making a comeback, and are hoping further rumours of a Dave’ Bowie clone being successfully created from something deposited years before he was famous, are true.
