The Ducks will be back on the mat in 2018-2019. University of Oregon has decided to reinstate wrestling after their biggest sponsor, Nike, has aligned themselves with USA Wrestling.
While at the same time the Ducks were bringing their program back, Penn State and Cael Sanderson had a falling out through contract negotiations. Coach Sanderson was formally offered the job at University of Oregon his contract is 6 years with an annual pay of $475,000/ year with performance bonuses.
