22-year-old woman commits suicide in Kagman residence

A BROKEN−HEARTED Dominic Anthony Chargualaf, 23. recalls last Friday when his girlfriend Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Camacho Quitugua, 22. gave her a last hug before leaving her residence in Kagman, only to be told exactly a week after she had left that she committed suicide.

Police spokesperson Inspector Slogan Matheus confirmed the suicide, saying Quitugua was found hanging from the roof of the Kagman residence.

Matheus said Quitugua committed suicide on 29 April 2017 at about about 1 a.m.after the rest of the family went to sleep.

“She was talented. She attended to our 2 year old daughter’s needs, as well as my needs. I never wanted her to leave me surviving without her. She’s perfect.” Chargualaf added, his voice cracking.

He broke down and cried. “Why did she do it? If only she told me what was wrong. There were no signs of unhappiness. Maybe I did or say something to her and that is why she took her precious life,” Chargualaf added.

Matheus said police investigations continue as Quitugua did not leave any suicide note, “The reason why the deceased took her own life is not known. There was no suicide note left, and messages on the deceased’s cellphone were found deleted,” Matheus said.
