24 year old GA resident wins power ball!

A woman from Clarkston has claimed her $82 million Mega Millions jackpot.

Darriana Reda, 24, matched all of the winning numbers in the drawing.

Reda claimed her prize saturday morning at Georgia Lottery headquarters. After final sales were tallied, the jackpot increased from the advertised $82 million. Reda selected the cash option amount, which is $62 million.

Her boyfriend, Dakota, was craving a nutter butter and beer on the night of the drawing; but at her urging, she purchased two Quik Piks instead.

“We found out this morning while we were going to get coffee,” said Reda, who works as a bartender. “I almost lost my mind”.
The couple were talking about the ticket when Dakota checked the results of the drawing on the Georgia Lottery’s mobile site with his cell phone.

“We’ve been laughing since then,” she said. “We feel like we’re dreaming, like this isn’t real.”

Reda has worked as a bartender for 4 years; and at the moment, she plans to continue working. She and Dakota have dated for 3 years.

“We’re going to build a house, and travel to all festivals!” she said. “We just want to be happy.”

The winning ticket was sold was sold at the Chevron Food Mart in southeast Atlanta.
