A Massachusetts Woman Led Police on a High-Speed Chase Thursday Night.

Rachel L McCarthy, 29, of Hardwick, was arrested late Thursday night after a high speed chase on the Massachusetts Turnpike.

Massachusetts State Police say she led them on a high-speed chase through several towns first before getting on the highway.
State Police say she hit speeds over 100mph before they were able to corner her, as she tried getting off Exit 8 in Palmer.
McCarthy is facing charges of assault by means of a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene of property damage, failing to stop for a police officer, and operating to endanger.
In a statement from her lawyer, McCarthy said “You’ve gotta learn to drive with fear. …I just want to go fast”
McCarthy is being held on $100,000 bail.
