Tonya Welch, of Lincoln, Arkansas, is still on the run after a week long chase. Welch, 28, is wanted for the murder of 18 men.
On April 20th, 2017 a warrant was issued for her arrest after the gruesome discovery of a mass grave located on her property. A cell phone video posted to social media showed a smiling and happy Welch proudly proclaiming that she was indeed a serial killer and the mass grave was her doing.
Each of the victims has been identified but their names are being withheld pending notification of immediate family. The details that were released state that each victim is male, between the ages of 24 and 52, and each victim was a registered sex offender.
Preliminary investigation discovered that each victim had been shot in the back of the head execution style and their genitals had been removed. “It’s one of the most gruesome things we’ve ever seen in this area,” a spokesperson for the Washington County Sherrif’s Department said. “Miss Welch is a cold-blooded killer, a monster. She executed these men and buried them in a mass grave. She’s like a female Ted Bundy, just deplorable and evil.”
Some locals however, are calling her a hero and praising her for executing sex offenders. “Well these were not innocent people. All of these men were rapists, pedophiles and perverts,” said one woman who declined to give her name. “She cleaned this area up in my opinion. And saved us some tax dollars too.”
Welch was last seen at Arvest Bank in Farmington yesterday at around 2pm. The authorities are warning that she is armed and dangerous. If you see her, make no attempt to approach or to apprehend her. Call the local law enforcement or call crime stoppers. Again, Miss Welch is extremely dangerous and obviously bat shit crazy. Do not approach her.
