Arkansas Legislature Passes Recreational Marijuana Bill

On April 24, 2017 Arkansas lawmakers met at the state capital to discuss possible changes to the way state officials enforce the federal prohibition of marijuana. Most Americans are in favor of marijuana being legalized for recreational use (57 to 41 percent). However, this past election Donald Trump was elected president despite the fact that most Americans were in favor of Hillary Clinton. Long story short, weed is still illegal in Arkansas and Trump is still president. Why? Because the things Americans want don’t mean a damn thing to the people in power.
