BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – A three-year-old is recovering this morning after being shot while in their mother’s car.

BAKERSFIELD, California

The shooting happened around 2:05 a.m. in the 5600 block of Monitor Street.

The 3-year-old was taken to an area hospital and is being treated for minor, non-life threatening injuries.

Officers located evidence of the shooting near the intersection of Monitor Street and Fairview Road.

Bakersfield Police say they are looking for three to four Hispanic men, in their late teen or early 20’s last seen in a mid-sized gray with red stripes or blue colored vehicle.
