Bartlesville Police Officer Retires on Solemn Note

Joe Wright, Bartlesville Oklahoma police officer called it quits today after a 30+ year career. Wright began his career in the U.S. Army military police and when discharged moved to Bartlesville to become a civilian officer here.
Wright had a challenging career writing traffic tickets, working his way up to Lt. before tackling the job of meter maid, also known as “scooter boy.”
Wright was rather solemn giving this interview as he did not achieve the pinnacle to his career of luring gay men to arrest at Johnstone Park.
He was given a plaque, retirement badge and a hamburger steak dinner his final shift.
