Blindspot Comes to Life, Leads to Arrests

NBC’s hit show Blindspot is known for its titular character Jane Doe being discovered naked in a duffel bag in Times Square tattooed from head to toe. Last night, it seems the show became a reality, only it was a cruel sick joke. Matthew Kowal, 26 of Amityville, New York now of Easton, Pennsylvania, was seen outside Papa John’s in Palmer when witnesses said four men ambushed him, and took him away in a car. Luckily someone got the plate to put out a BOLO on the vehicle, and the four men who have their names withheld were arrested after it was found outside the Wawa downtown. Authorities then found Kowal after a call came in about a bag found in the Circle’s fountain where he was found in the duffel bag, naked inside with cuts, bruises, and profanity burned onto his skin. He was taken to Easton Hospital for observation and later released with minor injuries but the experimental drug ZIP was found in his system. When found, cops said,”He was obviously shaken, disoriented, but he managed to crawl out under his own power and laid on the ground.” Later, at the hospital where the ZIP was discovered in his system, he was asked a few questions and didn’t remember anything from when he was ambushed to when he was found. His injuries are not severe, but unfortunately the scars will remain. The suspects have been charged with assault, kidnapping, false imprisonment, vandalism, cruelty, and attempted manslaughter. It has already been declared a hate crime and cruel prank, and Kowal’s statements were confirmed to be true after a lie detector test was administered after the ZIP (Zeta-Interacting Protein) cleared his system. He did not lose any of his memory, just the window of the crime. Actress Jaimie Alexander who plays Jane Doe on the NBC thriller visited Matthew along with her best friend and body double Ky Furneaux. His mother said,”He’s suffered enough, bullied, he suffers from Autism, he has PTSD from abuse he suffered as a child, and now this. Who raised these perps, and who would commit this heinous act?!” Matt was quoted as saying,”Funny thing is that Blindspot is one of my favorite shows ironically and when I was found, I felt that way.”
