Bronzeville Milennial Woman Wins Powerball

Judith Morris, a single, unmarried black woman residing in the Bronzeville neighborhood won Wednesday’s $20 million Powerball lottery. Her system? Beginner’s luck.
“I don’t gamble but I had a dream I was on TV holding a check so I just played random numbers in the gas station. When I heard someone won from the same gas station won, I looked for the ticket and sure enough, I had the winning numbers.”

The winning ticket was purchased at a Shell station on the corner of 47th & Michigan, in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. Store clerk Abdul Haseem Kabir Al Hussein said that was the only winning ticket ever purchased at his store.

“I’m shocked. That was the only winning ticket ever purchased here.”

Judith plans to use the money to pay off her student loans, go on vacation, donate to charity and hold on to the rest.
