Cops on the look out for navy blue crown victoria

Sacramento, CA (Fox 40) – Around 2:00Pm today in North highland , Sacramento, Co Deputies tried to pull over a car for moving violations, but the driver took off, and a chase ensued down I 80 into . Roseville County deputies say the Crown Victoria reached 100 miles per hour.
Sac County Deputies put stop sticks at Highway 80 and Douglas blvd. The car continued into Douglas but crashed at Folsom-Auburn Rd.

Diamonte Dargen, 17, of Macon, Davarre Sandifer, 19, of Warner Robins, and Cantrell Brooks, 21, of Del Paso hights , were all arrested by Sacrament County Sheriff’s , after they jumped out of the car and took off running.

“These devices [stop sticks ] significantly reduce the speed of the vehicle because they lose control of the steering capability or pull capabilities from the rear axle,” said Sgt. Ben Bray of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

The car continued to slow down heading into the center divider . Smoke and dust flying up from the tire, before it eventually falls off.

Once Dargen, seen here, slowed down, Lt. Tom Kelly of the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office took over for the Roseville deputy.

Sgt. Bray says working with other agencies is important. “Our deputies knew where they were going and being that, the other deputies on the squad and the other assisting deputies and police officers could surround the car or come to the area,” said Bray.

But it wasn’t just deputies that came to the area; Sheriff Hancock himself caught the two passengers as they ran across Folsom-Auburn Rd.

“He leads by example, therefore he is not afraid to get out and work with our deputies and guide them and direct them to the proper way to do things,” said Bray.

Dargen, seen running here, was also wanted on possession of weapons charges in Sac County.
