Del Rio teen arrested for stealing a weight set.

Monica Salas, 19, was arrested Wednesday night after police said they found her stealing a weight set from her neighbors house. Police were dispatched to the 2100 block of Brodbent Ave. after people witnessed the teen grabbing weights from her neighbors house and taking them home. Officer Kinley said “as we arrived at her location she had a bar of weights in her hands, which she said belonged to her.” She then admitted to stealing the weights and was arrested. The teen was charged with stealing more than $50 but less than $100 worth of weights which is a misdemeanor, and also breaking and entering which is also a misdemeanor. Her bond was set at $10,000.
