Forrest City man arrested for indecent exposure in Walmart

A St. Francis County man is behind bars on public indecency charges after police allege he ran through a local supermarket wearing only a shirt.
Lance Hughes, 24, of Forrest City, was arrested Wednesday and charged with public indecency, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and terroristic threatening.
According to a Forrest City Police Department report, Hughes entered the Walmart on Deaderick Road late Wednesday night, wearing what was described as a banana costume. Witnesses told police that Hughes was “skipping like a school girl” through aisles, knocking various products off of shelves and singing loudly.
When confronted by a store employee, Hughes reportedly removed his banana costume and threw it at the employee. According to the report, Hughes was wearing only a shirt under the costume, with no pants or underwear.
“He looked like Winnie the Pooh or something,” one witness told police. “It was like he didn’t even know his junk was out.”
Hughes was later tackled by police and taken into custody. After police managed to place him in handcuffs, Hughes reportedly told officers that he would urinate on them if they did not let him go.
Hughes is currently being held at the St. Francis County Jail on a $150,000 bond.
