Illinois to Mandate Car Seats for Dogs.

After the Secretary of State was involved in a car accident where his poodle “FooFoo” suffered some cuts and bruises, he moved quickly to enact legislation mandating car seats for canines.

No longer will cow boys and contractors be allowed to charge around in their pickups with Fido the Pit Bull or Ruffy the Blue Healer, to slide around and be launched during accidents. Dogs must be strapped into their seats and dogs under 65 pounds must be in the back seat.

Fines accompanying this legislature are quite stiff.

Having a Dauxhound riding on you dash would be $50.00 per inch of wiener.

Allowing a dog to ride on the roof is an antomatic $300.00.

Cage confinement might be acceptable but each cage must have running water, individual channel selection and volume control and orthopedic mattresses. Intercom communication with the driver is required if there is more than 13 dogs. Privacy curtains must be provided for all nursing mothers.
