Earlier today, at around 1pm, Peaches Baptiste was taken near her Indian Walk, Moruga road home. Witnesses said that around noon, the victim had gotten into an altercation with her grandmother about a boyfriend.
The 17 year old was then seen walking out of the family bar as patrons listened to the heated exchange of words. She was said to have been going by her alleged boyfriend’s house who lived walking distance from her.
However, onlookers said she did not treck half of her journey before a Black Nissan Tiida pulled up along side her and forced her into the car. Many neighbors said they were fearful for their own safety as the men had guns and were heavily built.
One neighbor by the name of ‘Widney’ told police that the girl had recently over came a near death experience and was living a lavish lifestyle again.
No one knew why she would want to leave her family. Peaches Baptiste is said to have been attending ASJA Girl’s College and was soon to sit the CSEC Examinations in May. Police investigations are ongoing.
