Sunday: A Jefferson City Man was arrested on felony gun this morning at 430 am. 24 year old Christopher Rice of Jeff City was taking into custadey after a attempt traffic stop on the 1200 block of Ellis Blvd. When a police officer attempted to do a routing traffic violashon. Rice failed to comply and stop the car he was driving. Rice then turned on Lerenzo Green Dr at excessive speed. Police then called in the Missouri State Hyway Partrol to assist in the persuit. As Rice continued on to Hwy 179 the Jefferson City Police Department along with Missouri State Hyway Partrol then layed spick strips alone the side the side of 179 which Rice attempted to avoid the spick strips but in the process Rice ran off the right side lane of 179 and stuck the rock clift. After I breaf monent offices was able to aprehin Rice. As Jeff City Police search the vehicle and found a loaded unregistered 9m hand gun and two loaded sawed off shot guns in the back floor bored along with a box of shot gun builts. Rice is currently behild Cole county jail with a 100.0000 bond
