The Merrie Monarch Festival is a week-long cultural festival that takes place annually in Hilo, Hawaii during the week after Easter. This year, the crowds were treated to a special performance by a little girl from the tiny island of Guam.

Tia Judicpa Malaca stole the hearts of this year’s crowd with her dance interpretation of Sirena, a local Guam legend. Her intricate hand movements and rhythmic swaying makes you forget that this talented performer is only 15 months old!

According to her mother, Tiffany, Tia has always had dance rhythm and a knack of following the beat. It’s no wonder that she was showcased at this year’s Festival.

Tia plans on attending primary school in a few years but for now, if you want to catch her act, just check out the nearest cultural event in your area. She’ll be there dancing and swaying and stealing hearts.
