Local man arrested for keeping junk Audi on road

Local man Peter T Gollege was arrested Friday, April 28th on two charges of reckless endangerment for keeping his 1989 Audi 200 on the road, despite it’s questionable mechanical condition.

“I’ve watched that thing go up and down this street for 20 years, just wondering to myself, when are they going to scrap it? It can’t possibly be a wise decision to keep such a high maintenance car on the road for so long,” says the Golledge’s neighbor.

Between engine replacements and other extensive mechanical work, it is estimated that the Golledge family, who owns the Audi, have spent over $250,000 on this car in the last twenty years, which is more than enough to buy half a dozen cars that actually work and are sensible.

“I just hope that, even if they somehow get out of this legal mess, they can at least find a way to keep the vehicle from filling the street with smoke every time it drives off.”

Peter Senior Golledge declined to comment.
