Madelyn Ruiz

Madelyn Ruiz, 17 , a East Mecklenburg High School Junior, received a $150,000 scholarship from Appalachian State University. Her phenomenous academic success has gotten her far throughout her high school life. Madelyn stated “I got an email saying I received a scholarship from my dream school, I honestly couldn’t believe it. Hard work pays off if you dedicate yourself and sacrifice yourself by no means.” Madelyn said she will join the Army Reserves after high school and expects to be a Radiologist in the Army. Go Madelyn! We expect to see you at App State in the Fall of 2019!
