Residents of the community around Leflore County Livestock Auction had an otherwise peaceful Saturday morning disrupted by a naked man running through the neighborhood, according to an Wister Police report.
Wister officers responded to the call around 10 a.m. Saturday. Reports said the alleged streaker, a 21-year-old man, is “very familiar” to the Livestock Auction from previous incidents of unpredictable behavior.
The suspect’s fiancé, a 20-year-old Shady Point woman, told police that her fiancé had been “acting crazy” that day. She told police that he had been setting fire to various items inside his residence, and was, at the time of his report, “balled up on the couch nude.”
Reports said the suspect was found in a stock trailer, and was verbally unresponsive when officers approached him. But police and family were able to place the man on a stretcher, whereupon he was transported to Mercy Hospital, in Fort Smith, Arkansas for an evaluation.
