Man killed in highway crash

A Hope BC man was killed Saturday night when the truck he was driving was hit head on by a drunk semi driver.
RCMP say that the semi driver drifted into oncoming traffic where he hit the truck with such force the engine from the pickup was found over 500ft from the roadway in a field.
The driver of the pickup, 46 year old Marc Chouinard was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, Raji Hardee’s suffered non life threatening injuries and has been charged with impaired driving causing death.
RCMP are still investigating. Anyone with any details are being asked to contact the Hope RCMP detachment.
