Matt Janor a local electrician was arrested Friday afternoon by the Gwinnett County Police for positution and keeping a house of positution. Matt Janor a well known male for male escort and glory hole operator in Buford Ga. Was released on a $50,000 bond shortly after being booked into the Gwinnett County Jail.
Channel 23 News got an inclusive interview with Matt Janor.
Matt said he got into escorting a couple years ago to pay for an upcoming wedding with his fiance Harley. “I figured it’d be a way to make a quick buck, while also allowing me to explore my sexuality through a different avenue,” Matt said.
Matt says he never expected to become a sex worker. But spurred on by a need for quick cash after returning to Georgia from a work assignment in Florida and encouraged by how easy it was to get started, he eventually took the plunge.
Like many others in the industry, Matt says he also operates a glory hole and works in gay porn to make extra cash. Industry insiders say about 60 percent to 70 percent of porn actors also work as escorts.
But unlike porn, escorting is much more than just, as Matt put it, a “whack and go.”
“You’re devoting an hour or more to another human being,” he said. “Sure, sex sometimes happens, but most of what I do is psychological work.”
A typical client, according to Matt, seems to be a working professional in his 30s or 40s who is either gay or bisexual and has no time or interest in dating; otherwise, he’s someone who publicly identifies as straight.
When asking Matt about how his fiance feels about his line of work, Matt would only reply ” $20 is $20.”
