Minor From Patuxent Highschool Arrested For Assault

On Friday morning a minor from Patuxent High School in Lusby, MD, was arrested for stabbing another student at 10:02 AM.

The altercation apparently occurred when another group of students allegedly criticized his guitar. The suspect pulled out a butterfly knife and proceeded to violently stab the victim three times.
The victim, Tayvontae White, 18, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries to his abdomen and thigh. School security was rushed to the scene, and the suspect was tackled and arrested and was taken into custody with 2 broken ribs.
The suspect had recently moved from Dunkirk, a nearby city. He had been living with his father after a divorce. He had attended Bishop McNamara but had only stayed there one year. The suspects house is currently being searched and is being investigated.
Fellow classmates described the suspect as, racist, homophobic, and shy. One student described him as “he sticks with his little group of friends, never really talks to anyone else”
This is not the first time police have been called to the school. But this type of attack is definitely unheard of in the area. The minor is charged of Assault and attempted murder.
