A name change has finally been granted to a Greene County native, Jackie Herring after a nearly 30 years refusal of her friends and family to do so. Jackie’s plight started after the introduction of the screen film, Dirty Dancing in August of 1987. After viewing the movie Jackie insisted she too would be referred to as “Baby” after the movies leading lady. Her friends and family weren’t having it! After putting up with years of begging and demanding her friends and family finally cave. As of today, the fight is over and Jackie will now and forever be known and referred to a “Baby”. However, no promises were made about putting her in a corner .
