Netflix original series 13 reasons why will not have a season 2

If you’ve read the Jay Asher novel 13 Reasons Why then you should be pretty excited about an upcoming show of the same name. For those of you that haven’t the book came out in 2007. It tells the story of Clay Jensen, a high school who student discovers cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier. On tape, Hannah explains that there were thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them.

From what we hea,r the show is going to stay relatively true to the book which effectively means that viewers can expected something pretty dark and twisted. The Selena Gomez produced series will make its debut on Netflix on March 31st.

Clay will be played by Dylan Minnette, Scandal). The show will also include Kate Walsh (Private Practice) and Brian d’Arcy James (Smash) as Hannah’s parents. It’s extremely difficult to attack the subject of teenage suicide for the mere fact that its extremely sensitive. However, 13 Reasons Why could be an excellent start in making someone as serious as this a little more out in the open and mainstream. Season 2 of 13 reasons why is not coming out because it shows a teen suiside and parents are worried about there teens watching it.
