Tryouts have begun for the next season of Masterchef Junior on FOX. One of the newest top 12 contestants will be Lauryn Rodriguez, 12, of Flint, Michigan.
Lauryn is only one of thousands that tried out for the next season of the popular reality show. She auditioned in Detroit, Michigan and immediately surprised the judges of her many cooking talents.
Chef Gordan Ramsey commented, “Here is one of the most promising young chefs that I have ever seen. She has a lot of talent to go up against, but I believe she could be the next Masterchef Junior winner.”
Ms. Rodriguez definitely has her work cut out for her but that doesn’t stop her from believing in herself. “I have always wanted to prove to everyone that I can cook like a chef. Here is my shot” said Ms. Rodriguez when asked about her being in the top 12.
Her family and community are very proud of her and can’t wait to see what happens when she goes to L.A. to compete this fall. “She’s the next winner for sure!” said her mother Ms. Angelique Solak.
