Petrotrin Youths Future of Field Hockey for T&T

During a media briefing on Wednesday night. T&T’s senior mens Hockey coach Glen “Fido” Francis highlighted that San Fernando is the “new breeding ground for young field hockey talent.”
Fido mentioned that on during the past years he was fortunate enough to have the senior mens team being represented by mostly southern players especially from Petrotrin Sports Club. Fido who was marveled at what he saw in during the National outdoor league and big 4 tournament last year at Tacarigua, spoke highly of the ability of the young southern hockey players.
“Never have I seen so much talent on one pitch, young players not only enjoying the game but playing with passion and pride”
Players highlighted are none other than the dynamic duo De Vante and Michael Stewart who have shown tremendous progress in the past 2 years , Otis O’Connor and some of the other players.
Petrotrin is expected to obtain a new “Turf” In Guaracara Park Point A Piere later this year and hopefully they would continue to contribute more quality players towards T&T’s mens Hockey.
