Drummer Philip Selway is to leave the popular rock band Radiohead, reports suggest.
Frontman Thomas Yorke replied when questioned:
‘Yeah, I’m afraid it’s true. He just wasn’t up to the job.’
Selway doesn’t hold any hard feelings however- ‘Me and CR78 have been talking, and we decided there just wasn’t room for both of us.’
‘A drum off was the logical solution, and it went downhill for me when we changed from 4/4’
‘I think the better man won’
There is already speculation around a solo album from Selway, likely to be a concept album with just one 3 hour long track- made entirely of a looped version of the drums from one of his favourite songs: ‘Creep’.
It is unclear thus far as to how the sound of the band will change with Philip gone.
