Sandhill Telephone to receive 2 Million in Grant

Sandhill Telephone Cooperative announced Friday that they have been selected among other “Co-Op’s” accross the state to receive a Federal Spending package to upgrade infrastructure that’s been in place for over a decade. As part of this package Sandhill Telephone will be replacing old copper lines with new state of the art fiber optic lines.

CEO Lee Chambers was happy to share the news. “I am very happy we were selected for this. We have been getting many calls over the past few years as need for higher bandwidths are required”. Chambers stated that work will begin in June to replace the old lines.

The Board of Directors is expected to address the shareholders of the details of the program at the annual shareholders meeting May 6th.
