A local racer, Robert Moore, had the race of his life when he took his 40 Pure Stock and wheeled it to a win in his first ever NASCAR Series race at Talladega Speedway this past weekend.
Moore, 18, became the youngest driver to win a major race at Talladega. He also became the first driver to go from the back of the field and take a 3 lap lead at the finish.
When asked what his plans are for the future, Moore responded “I’m just looking for a win in the Pure Stock division at Seekonk Speedway this season. That there would really have meaning. Talladega is nice and all but it sure isn’t Seekonk Speedway. ”
