Snow Not Over. Heated Tempers in Southwestern Ontario causing Havoc

One would think a fairly snowless winter would promise May flowers. Some gardeners even reported April blooms, most of which survived minimal frosty mornings and several days of drastically fluctuating temperatures. Windsor through to Peterborough will be blanketed in the fluffy white stuff for the better part of eight days. Beginning with light flurries on Sunday evening, following a day of scattered showers and thunderstorms, a flash freeze will cause hazardous driving conditions and a quick transition from rain to heavy snow and wind. Commuters should exercise e treme cautionon Monday morning, leaving e tea time to scrape transitional ice from windshield. OPP ask that you also clear any present volume of snow from the roof of your vehicle before heading out to your destination. Where possible, it is recommended to stay home.
