John Visconti of Staten Island was arrested late Wednesday night after a 170 mile per hour high speed chase on the Southern State Parkway.
State Troopers finally apprehended Visconti when he pitted for tires and fuel.
In a statement from his lawyer, Visconti said he was just shaking it down before practice on Saturday.
Visconti is being held on $100,000 bail.
His wife was not available for comment.
She was shopping at the time and only said she couldn’t discuss it with the press… we have people for that.
