19 year old, Shawn Alden Jr was apprehended by Sugarcreek Police for traveling speeds accessing 100mph in his 2007 Ford Edge April 28th 2017. Alden was driving on the Allegheny Blvd and failed to stop at a red light. After a 15 minute police chase Alden struck a guard rail on route 8 in Rouseville making his vehicle swerve off the burm and into the wooded area. A 20 minute footchase lead to Alden’s arrest. The following charges were pressed on Alden
Driving excessive speeds over 100mph – Felony 1
Refusing arrest – Felony 2
Under the influence of alcohol while opperating motor vehicle- misdemeanor 2
Open container in vehicle- misdemeanor 2
Underage use of alcohol – misdemeanor 1
Alden was sentenced with a $25,000 monetary bail
Alden has been arained for Franklin court May 12th at 1:30pm
