“Little Tim” as locals call him, has been a must-see attraction for visitors of Mattoon, IL. This determined turtle is a member of the rare species tarda testudo graeca, the slowest turtles in the world. Little Tim was found on a sidewalk near local restaurant Tacos Amigos twenty years ago and has been inching his way towards this delicious snack ever since.
