Authorities identified Thursday afternoon the identity of the young boy killed in an afternoon shooting.
Christopher Cruz, 16, of Newark, was gunned down on 200 block of Sussex ave, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at 4:45 p.m.
No additional information on the shooting was released as of Thursday afternoon.
