Port Colborne – Last last night on Wednesday, April 26 9:47 EST, Officers of the Niagara Regional police unit and the St Catharines Search and Rescue team were called about a murder that had happened earlier Wednesday night, units met at the scene at the west side entrance of the Clarence Street Bridge in downtown Port Colborne.
Police arrived on scene to what apparently was “In no way humane” – said Sgt. Phillip Morris of the 52nd Niagara Regiment. They were able to recover the victims glasses, their lighter and their watch which was about 12 yards from the scene of the crime. At this time we have no information about the latest victim due to the severity of the injuries, but an autopsy will be taking place tomorrow evening, with more information to follow on the website.
Daniel Steven Fitzgerald, the teenager from port colborne, currently on the run for 2 other murders that had taken place no more than 3 days later, is considered the main suspect in this case.
