A woman was arrested for allegedly biting off a part of a Walmart employee’s finger after being caught shoplifting condoms, lubricants and panties.
The woman was charged with aggravated assault and shoplifting after the attack, according to a police report made available by the Crete Police Department and seen by Daily Morning News.
According to the police report, which was first uncovered by the Smoking Gun, Carolynn America, became violent after being discovered stealing from the Walmart in Crete, Nebraska on Tuesday, at 8:25 PM.
It states that Walmart loss prevention officers, Candice Lawsom and Suzanne Koseroski, followed America out of the store and tried to stop her from taking off with her alleged loot, which included a pack of condoms, lube, a bra and two pairs of panties.
A scuffle erupted between the three women, during which America allegedly punched Koseroski in the head, causing her to bleed from the ear.
Wright then allegedly proceeded to chomp down on Lawsom’s hand.
Refusing to let go, America bit off a piece of the woman’s finger. The finger tip was later discovered by police.
When a customer who witnessed the altercation tried to call 911, America grabbed the woman’s phone and then pulled her hair before getting punched in the face.
A man who was waiting in the parking lot in a gold-colored minivan told police America then ran up to him and told him to ‘run.’

The total value of the condoms, lubricant and underwear that America Raya tried to steal from a Crete, NE Walmart was $40.07, police said. America was charged with shoplifting and aggravated assault after biting off part of a store employee’s finger.
When the driver told America that he couldn’t move because someone was standing in front of his van, Raya yelled at him to ‘drive!’
Shortly afterwards, police officers caught up with America, who gave up resisting after being threatened with a Taser.
It was unclear on Monday whether or not the driver of the minivan was an acquaintance of America.
The Walmart employee who had her finger bit off required stitches, and her finger tip was not able to be reattached, police reported.
