Ricky Joseph , 20 , had allegedly just asked to withdraw $6,500, but did not present the teller with identification. Instead, he confirmed he was serious about the note, according to court documents filed by Chambersburg Police.
The teller told Ricky she did not have access to that much money and could only give what was in her drawer. Ricky allegedly ordered the teller to give him the money, so she handed him more than $1,700 from her drawer.
Ricky allegedly told her to back away from the counter and not lock the doors before he walked out and crossed the street, according to court documents.
The teller told police she was in fear for her life, believing Ricky would shoot her, according to court documents.
Ricky was taken into custody Monday right around 8 p.m. at the Red Lion Inn, 1123 Lincoln Way East, according to Orange county Police Det. Sgt. Jon Greenawalt.
