A dismembered body was found at a park near New Malden on Thursday, according to police.
Police said officers were sent to Green Lane Park, a partially wooded area with trails and a nearby river, around 10:30 p.m.
Officials confirmed to Channel 23 news that a woman’s body was found ‘in several pieces’ near the water.
Dog walker John Gregory says he was walking through the park when he found a human head.
The park is closed to the public as investigators and crime scene technicians process a large scene that extends through brush and trails to the water’s edge.
