Coming off of a very successful 2016 season including winning the Superbowl , the New England Patriots have replaced their Offensive Coordinator . The newly appointed coordinator is a local man from Dracut who has been with Dracut Pop Warner for the past 5 years. Mark Fantasia has been the head coach of Dracut’s “A” team for the last 4 years and brings a vast knowledge of the “spread offense” with him. Coach Fantasia had a successful 2016 campaign himself leading the Middies to the playoffs for the 1st time in 3 years. Had Coach Fantasia run “his offense” the Middies may have made it past the first round against a tough Malden team. But politics played a role in the decision. Mr. Fantasia not only coaches football but also participates in many locally sponsored chicken wing eating contest where he has gone undefeated for the past 15 years. Built like a bulldog / pug mix Fantasia has the tenacity of a pit-bull on mescaline. Congratulations on the promotion coach , and the whole MVC wishes you luck in you new position.
