Dreams really do come true. Just ask Richard Sanetti of Fort Myers who won a private island yesterday in Jimmy Buffets annual Island Give-A-Way Contest.
Richard, a car salesman and fan of the beach says, ” I’ve always been a big Buffet fan and filled out an entry form at a recent contest. I never thought about it again until I received notification yesterday.”
Still in shock from winning a Caribbean Island, Richard, also known as Ricky Bobby, was busy all day deciding what to name it. The 75 acre tropical retreat is nesteled away in the Exuma Island chain and was the inspiration for more then one of Jimmy Buffets songs. Jimmy said, “the best guy won. Ricky is exactly the type of guy who will care for this island and love it as much as I do. We spoke on the phone yesterday and I’m looking forward to handing him the keys to the home and the boat on Wednesday.
The island includes a 4,000 foot private residence featuring 5 bedrooms and 6 baths with over 1500 square feet out outdoor terraces with views of its 3 mile private sugar sand beach. The 30 foot center console boat is tethered to a private dock.
“My dream has come true and I can hardly wait to have 20 of my friends over for a week or two”, said Sanetti.
