Hilltop House Hotel Suffers Full Collapse

Late Monday evening as local Harpers Ferry resident Ryan Fulmer was enjoying the view of the Potomac with his wife at the onlook in front of the long vacant and delapidated Hilltop House Hotel they were abruptly interrupted at the sound of falling rocks. Ryan’s wife describing it as a brief cracking and rocks falling from the front of the building.

“We could hear noise coming from behind us and when we turned around we saw rocks falling and what was left of the white facade crumbling” said carol in her interview.

Within 2 minutes the entire front of the building was cracking apart. Dust spewing the surrounding grounds and forcing a small group of onlookers that had now formed to move to the end of the street. People describing the scene as “something out of a movie” Ryan and Carol live just down the street and told the news team they are uncertain how this will effect future plans. With part of the former solarium collapsed onto the trail and railroad tracks below only a rear portion of the once famous hotel still remains standing.
