A landmark judgment handed down by the Supreme Court today confirmed that any housework carried out by a co-habiting partner created a right to up to 55% of the property.
Delivering the decision of the majority of the Court Lord Oldroyd of Sunniside confirmed that emptying the dishwasher twice a week gave a co-habiting girlfriend the right to more than half of her boyfriends house. His Lordship confirmed “she’s a good old girl”.
