Early Tuesday morning police responded to a silent alarm at a local donut shop on West 7th Street in Auburn.
Upon arrival, Dekalb County Sheriff deputies witnessed numerous Auburn Police Department officers, including the Chief of Police, emptying carts of fresh doughnuts into the trunks of their police cruisers.
Thirteen officers were arrested on theft charges after the owner of Tom’s Donuts chose to press charges against the officers.
