Local farmer and piggery owner arrested on suspicion of interfering with live stoxk

Local farmer Matthew Smith was arrested in the early hours of 17th of may on suspicion of interfering with his live stock

Police were first made aware of the matter when local villagers had made complaints of strange noises coming from a caravan that’s been known to have stood on the farm for a number of years.

Police attended the scene and formally arrested Smith and he was detained in custody

The property was fully searched resulting in evidence to support claims animals had been interfered with aswell as the sexual exploits of foreign workers who were employed by Smith

Girlfriend and future wife Miss Hazel Smith is confused and appalled at the accusations. When spoken to she quoted ” my Smit is not like this. I just can’t find an explanation for it. I’m left heartbroken”

Villagers are said to be shocked as to what’s happened right under their noses in such a tight knit community.

Mr Smith will remain in custody with no bail release until his trial
