Local lifeguard arrested for stealing water from area swimming pool

A Riviera Beach lifeguard at Barracuda Bay was arrested early Friday on charges of grand theft. Apparently Derick Ferguson stole over 587 gallons of pool water from his job over the course of the last 3 months. When questioned by Riviera Beach Police Ferguson said he was tired of working for his current employer and was saving the water to build his own water park. Bond was set for Mr Ferguson for $100 and he’s still being held at the Palm Beach County Jail in hopes of posting bond.
