LUFKIN NATIVE CHARGED WITH THE OFFENSE OF BESTIALITY

A Lufkin man was arrested earlier today for having an inappropriate relationship with a turkey named Butterball.

Preston Polk moved to Austin earlier this year to lobby against legislation by Representative Carol Alvarado and Senator Joan Huffman that would make non-consensual intercourse with an animal a criminal offense. Polk’s incarceration reaffirms the concerns of his family and friends who questioned his intentions when he adamantly argued against the creation of this offense.

When Polk was being placed in the patrol car he was overheard saying “I just want to stuff a turkey, what’s more American than that? It wanted it!”

When police found him, Polk was wandering around a pasture wearing nothing but a poncho and sombrero calling for a goat named Amy. Deputies believe that Preston was in search of a date for a Cinco de Mayo party.

Preston was booked in the Angelina County Jail and Butterball was admitted to Woodland Heights Medical Center with a sever case of ruffled tail feathers.
